Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • 4 carrots sliced
  • 3 potatoes diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 package McCormick Beef Stew Mix

Method
 

  1. Combine flour, seasoned salt and pepper in a Ziploc bag. Add beef cubes and shake to coat the cubes with the flour mixture.
  2. Brown meat in the olive oil. Add onions to soften.
  3. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  4. Mix the beef broth, wine, and Worcestershire sauce and pour over beef and onions in the cooker.
  5. Add remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on a low setting for 10-12 hours.
