In a medium bowl, add olive oil, vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper. Stir together until combined.
In a large bowl, add the tomatoes and mozzarella.
Drizzle most of the dressing on top reserving a few tablespoons for later.
Stir together until combined.
Cover and set in the refrigerator to marinate for 30 minutes.
While marinating, bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Cook pasta al dente. Drain and drizzle pasta with olive oil. Stir, cover and set aside to cool.
Remove bowl from refrigerator. Add pasta, basil and remaining dressing to the bowl.
Stir together and serve. Cover leftovers and store in refrigerator up to 3 days.
