Sweet and Hot Chex Mix

Ingredients
  

Dry Mix:
  • [checklist]
  • 4-6 cups corn Chex or wheat or rice
  • 1 cup Honey Roasted Sesame Chips /Crackers
  • ½ cup Pecans or Walnuts
  • ½ cup Honey Roasted Cashews
  • ½ cup Honey Roasted Almonds
  • ½ cup Honey Roasted Peanuts
  • 1 cup Pretzels

Sauce pan mixture:
  • [checklist]
  • 7 T. Butter
  • 1 T. Sugar
  • 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 t. Frank’s Red Hot sauce adjust to your heat level
  • ¾ t. Garlic powder
  • ½ T. onion powder
  • 1 ½ t. Cayenne Pepper (adjust to your heat level
  • ¾ t. Celery Salt Heat oven to 250 degrees.

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in sauce pan over low heat.
  2. Stir in Worcestershire and seasoned salts, sugar, cayenne. Pour over Chex mix and nuts and stir until totally mixed. Put on large cookie sheet.
  3. Heat in oven 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool!
  4. Chocolate coverings:
  5. Melt 4 oz. white chocolate and splatter over Chex and nut mixture. Melt 4 oz. dark chocolate and splatter of Chex and nut mixture. Chill in refrigerator and break into eatable size pieces.
