Make the sausage by browning the mild italian sausage with a teaspoon of fennel sausage. Drain and pat dry.
Form the pizza dough on a floured surface.
Apply the pizza sauce and all of the toppings. Be careful to not over-populate the pizza, as that could prevent the crust from getting crispy.
Sprinkle additional fennel seeds over the pizza.
Preheat the oven and pizza steel to 500 for one hour.
Put the pizza on the steel. I use parchment paper to keep it from sticking.
Cook for 8 minutes.
Remove from the oven. Let cool. Slice and serve.
