Pizza - Homemade with Rhodes Pizza Dough

This recipe makes it easy to make pizza at home. The crust is almost as good as home-made dough.

Ingredients

  • 1 Rhodes pizza dough
  • 1/2 jar Pizza sauce
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Toppings - your choice

Instructions

  • Thaw the pizza dough and let it rise. This takes 4-5 hours. Put the dough in a Pyrex dish that has been sprayed with Pam. Cover the dish with Saran Wrap that has also been sprayed with Pam. This keeps the dough from sticking to the Saran Wrap. It should roughly double in size.
  • Roll the dough into a circle. Put flour on a counter top and place the dough in the center. Steadily stretch in out to create the size and thickness that you want. The dough is quite stretchy, and it takes some work to get it to stretch, relax, and hold its shape. Be patient. A rolling pin can help speed things up.
  • Place the dough on a baking sheet. Season with olive oil, and italian seasoning. Place in a warm (< 100 degree oven) to let the crust rise slightly.
  • Cover with the sauce and toppings.
  • Cook at 375 for ~25 minutes, until the crust is golden brown.
  • Pull from the oven. Let it cool, and then slice and serve.
