Banh Mi Sandwich - Pulled Pork

Ingredients
  

  • 4 French or Italian style rolls
  • 1 lb Pulled pork
  • 1 jar Vietnamese pickled veggies (see recipe in this database)
  • Sriracha
  • Fresh cilantro

Method
 

  1. Slice the buns and coat the inside with butter or mayonaisse. Griddle or broil to get them warm and crispy.
  2. Assemble the pulled pork, pickled veggies, sriracha, and cilantro to the buns.
  3. That's all...enjoy.

Notes

An alternative to the Italian buns is to use Hawaiian rolls.  These can make great sliders.  I used some of the pork au jus on the buns.  I also added some spicy Mayo.  Put melted butter on the top of the bun at the beginning and mid-way through the baking.  20 minutes in the oven at 350.  Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
